Bearish

Aggressive Bearish Investors - "Breakdown Stocks" to Sell Short. Ideally suited for bear markets or market pull backs. Potential for large returns  (See Performance)

The TTD report also contains stocks to short as  breakdown plays and as bargain (swing trade) shorts.

Investors should  tend to try to go with a strategy that fits with the stock market's trend, unless there is a special situation play.

TTD's Breakout Stocks - Long are most suitable for aggressive investors seeking ideal entry points into leading stocks, especially during bull markets. They can do extremely well in bull markets with gains of as much as several hundred percent.

These stocks can also do extremely well during strong market rallies, or if they are in a industry group that is performing very well. They tend to have strong earnings outlooks and are near new-52 week, or all-time highs.

TTD Quick Trade Stocks - Long These are leading issues that have pulled back in recent days, but could move higher soon. They are most suitable for Aggressive Investors willing to trade short term. These stocks will do extremely  well during market advances. They have about 74% win rate. During market rally sequences the win rate is even higher. The return is small 3% to 8% in just a few days.

TTD's Bargain Buy Trades - Long - Long Term.  These are for conservative bullish Investors These long-term buys are ideally suited for entry into stocks on pull backs within overall up trend. These stocks can give a good return long-term especially during a bull market.

TTD also presents Stocks To Sell or Sell Short. These issues are suitable for aggressive investors willing to take short positions both as trades or for longer-term plays. These stocks will do very well during bear markets or market pull backs.

TTD's Bearish breakdown stocks to sell short. These issues have potential to fall sharply. They often show a technical breakdown and also some fundamental business problem such as weak earnings.

TTD's multi-media updates include a slide-show that presents charts and analysis at midsession. Some times TTD presents feature analysis on stocks and the market. TTD uses Windows Media Files. (WMV).

TTD also presents a "Breakout Watch List" that is up dated daily. This list consists of key stocks in position to breakout. A close watch of this list can put you in the stock just as it breaks out. A good idea is to study the list and be ready to move into a stock quickly as it hits its breakpoint.

TTD often suggests using stop buy orders to enter. It is very important to buy a breakout stock as close as possible to the breakpoint. The idea is to get "elbow room" if the stock should follow through to the upside. This is very important in being successful in making big money with breakout stocks.

It is also essential to have a stop loss strategy for all stocks in which positions are taken. Not every stock will work as expected. It is important for investors to "police" their portfolios and avoid getting trapped in any bad positions.

Quality rating of breakout  Two key factors: 1 - Stock near all-time high in price or near a 52-week high. 2 - earnings growth current year is strong. The ideal play is a stock with an Above Average Quality Rating. The stock is near a new high and will have strong earnings. TTD's other ratings are Average and Below Average.

Today's Featured TTD Breakout Stock

Apple Inc. (AAPL) - 134.37, up 4.09 - Breakpoint 130.80

Net tops Street Estimates, TTD Targets 160

TTD's Quality Rating of Stock - AAPL - ABOVE AVERAGE

AAPL, based in Cupertino, Ca., makes iphones, ipads and computers. Annual revenues: $200 billion. AAPL's stock breaks out today from a 10-week flat base today. After the close, Monday, AAPL reported favorable earnings for the fiscal second quarter ended March 30 that beat Street estimates.

TTD highlighted AAPL as a breakout at our midsession video show on the Web Monday.

So far today, APPL is trading a heavy 97 million shares, more than double its average daily volume of 38 million shares.

AAPL's stock broke out in the morning (see 10-minute chart)

The stock then trended sideways into the afternoon and near the close gave some ground.

However, after the close when earnings came in the stock surged higher.

AAPL came in with fiscal second quarter net of  $2.33 a share. That surpassed Street projections of $2.16 a share.

Also, revenues for the quarter came in at $58 billion topping the Street forecast of $56 billion.

The company said it sold 61.2 million iphones in the fiscal second quarter, up 40% from a year ago. The Street was expecting iphone sales of 56.8 million.

AAPL's tape action shows the recent block trades.

One can see the price for the blocks climbing from $130.55 on Friday to $134.30 Monday

A key bullish trade came in the morning when a block of 1.1 million shares (duplicated) crossed the tape at $132.39.

That was up from the prior block at $130.55 on 56,000 shares.

Then in after-hours trading a massive block of 4.4 million shares crossed at $132.65. That was up from the prior block at $132.60 on 86,422 shares.

AAPL makes mobile communication products such as iphones and media devices, personal computers, and portable digital music players.

The company is also coming out with a mobile device as a watch.

The Company's products include iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod, Apple TV, a portfolio of consumer and professional software applications, the iOS and Mac OS X operating systems, iCloud, and accessory products.

AAPL sells worldwide through its online stores, retail stores and via a direct sales force and wholesalers.

AAPL has been one of the strongest big cap plays in the current 6-year bull market.

AAPL's 12-month performance chart shows the stock appreciating 58% versus a 17% gain for the S&P 500 index.

AAPL's long-term chart shows the stock climbing from 8 in 2006, adjusted for a stock split, to a peak of 28 by late 2007.

The stock then fell back 11 due to the bear market. However, afterwards, AAPL surged to a peak of 100 by 2012. It then pulled back to around 60, but has since drove higher. The push to a new all-time high Monday could bring in more buying Tuesday.

AAPL's daily chart shows the stock climbing from  108 in January to around 130.

The stock then pulled back slightly and formed a flat base above its 50-day moving average line.

The breakout Monday looks solid coming with good volume and good earnings news.

The TTD momentum indicator (top of chart) is strongly bullish.

The accumulation - distribution line (bottom of chart) has turned up indicating good recent buying.

This fiscal year ending in September analysts have been forecasting a 35% jump in AAPL's earnings to $8.70 a share from $6.45 a year ago.

That consensus estimate could be pushed higher. AAPL sells with a price-earnings ratio of  15. TTD sees that as low making the stock attractive for value-growth investors.

Going out to fiscal 2016 ending in September, analyst look for a more modest 6% increase in net to $9.26 a share from the anticipated $8.70 this fiscal year.

For the upcoming fiscal third quarter ending in June, the Street expects a 33% jump in net to $1.70 a share from $1.28 the prior year.
